A decomposed body of a man found. How to obtain his idendity.

A missing person was filed and a body was found. The body is decomposed where the facial identity is not known. Asmall fragment of a thumbprint was compared in the federal database and came up with 3 different names. How will the coroner determine if this is the missing person or not?
