When I was younger, I felt like I had to push, push, and push to feel like I was accomplishing something. I now feel like I can just be. I now know that ever I do some, will approve, some will disapprove, and the rest won't care one way or the other. I am Free to do what I please. Are you free?

I suppose it would depend on your point of view. If live as you please means go where I want when I want, no. Because I have a child.I think at different ages in life we view the question differently.I was free to make the decision to have my child, my husband etc. With that decision comes sacrafices of other freedoms. Sometimes our freedoms become limited by our own decisions that we are free to make.In comparison to people in other countries, Yes I consider myself free.

You are right, I did not qualify what I meant by being free. I was thinking about the internal constraints we place on our selfs in relationship to what other may think of us. We place constraints in relation to choices we make in our lives. If we choose to be in one place, we can't be in another place at the same time. I was trying to ask if we give our self's permission to choose to be free. I have heard that the secret to live is not to get what you want, but to want what you have.

I am free as I feel free to do what I want with my life as it is all in front of me, I will push push push to achieve something with my life though as that will make me happy and I will be free to live a relaxed life when I am old and retired rather than freezing or starving through my older years.
