Did you ever have a go at making your own music?

I was supposed to be a future "musician",so I bought myself the cheapest synth ,but I mean the cheapest and started playing on it when I noticed that the black keys had the exact same sound as the white keys next to them. That really depressed me, after that I made some computer music but it just wasn't the same, nonetheless I made 17 songs. Now I want to buy a better synth,so I'm gathering my savings, so that I can have my fun playing some music.

instead of buying a new keyboard, can i reccommend a software program called Reason? It is awesome - you plug in the keyboard & turn it into just about anything - a crappy keyboard can sound like a rhodes...or a french horn...you can also add your own drum loops and beats it is expensive, and it takes a long time to learn how to use it, but is definately worthwhile good luck!

another really cool thing that you might want to look into is the korg microkorg. its a really nice little keyboard that looks very fun. I haven't got round to saving up enough money yet.

I still have to buy a new one,I gave the first one away to my cousin.I wouldn't want it back anyway. So if I use reason to connect it with a keyboard ,can I import the sounds from the PC to the synth? I can imagine my summer vacacion will give me plenty time to learn the works.
