For as long as they need help staying on their feet. WHen they have a well paying joba nd can afford to move out on their on then give them the boot. My oldest brither is 24 and he still has no job and my parents don't care. They love that they still have someone there. They say if he leaves the house will be too quiet. My little brother and I are gone already and they still love us to come home every chance we get

till they have a job and can afford their own place. with property prices rising and student loans to pay back that its very difficult to buy your first home in the uk....so i might be with my parents a few more years yet ( im 20)

How ever long it takes for them to finally learn responsibilities and learn to help out in their household. And finally when the parents get sick of them.

I think for as long as they need too. As long as they arent "using" their parents and they are respectful of their parents. I dont see a problem with it. I could go back to living with my mom if I needed to and she would definately not have a problem with it. She would enjoy it. We're best friends!

Until they 18 after that they need to move on. Unless they're going to college then I'll let my little monsters stay home.

Till your parents get sick of you and say "get out!" LOL. But really, in Vancouver, BC owning a house is pretty hard since the average house here is like $300,000! And if you're earning just $10/hour and having to pay rent, it's hard to get by. I'm asian and a lot of asians tend to stay with their parents until they marry.

Anyone saying 18 does not live in England or is a lot older. It is impossible here to move out at that age unless you want to live in a complete and utter dive and still be in debt for the rest of your life and never have a home to call your own. I am 21 and my older brother just moved out but thats because his mate got a house on inheritence and so they both have it made till his mate wants him out then my brothers pretty buggered, but free rent means he can save for his own place and we got our own inheritence which makes us luckier than most but still unable to get a house. So I am living with my mum, and hoping with the inheritence and the reduced rent I pay I will be able to afford to move out when Steph finishes uni in three years or about 5 if I am not with her.

Until they are able to support themselves. Unless they aren't even trying...then they should be thrown out into the real world.
