For me it was take as many pictures as possible and don't discriminate. The messiest moments, the loudest moments, the ugly moments, the grossest moments. Take them all. Because sooner than we realize they will be

My sister has gotten the same advice about the photos. She recently printed off over 800 photos at Wal-Mart after a birthday party for her oldest. Digital camera prints are cheap now a days.
I don't have kids and never will, but if I had to offer advice, be your kid's friend, but also be their parent as well.
