New shows and the writer's strike

I thought that there would be no new shows in January for the next season because of the strike. However, I am seeing many new shows starting next week. Medium, Psych, and Monk to name a few. Are these shows that were recorded before the strike? If so, how will this affect the strike since many of the shows are on Cable Networks not Major Networks?
