Was your life different when there weren't mobile phones?

Yesterday my cousin remembered me of ten years ago when he got lost in a country town and waited for hours his parents to bring him back. I remember also that spending time in the city with a huge bunch of friends was problematic because people got lost easily. Now with mobile phones all these kind of episodes are impossible: we can just call the people we have lost. What do you think? Has your life changed since there are mobiles? Have you got a strange adventure that could be easily avoided with mobiles?

I'm sure it certainly is different...It was so inconvenient to call friends and family, especially when they are not at home or at work... With mobile phones, you can contact a person anywhere, anytime.....as long as reception is good...

Hello dear Rowena. I have to say that there is a great difference with and without a cell phone between life in the past and at present. I started to use my first cell phone in 2001. During the days I did not use a cell phone, I used to always use the land-phone to make a call and it was very inconvenient when I was travelling with no phone. I think that my cell phone is helping making a great difference in my life and work.

my parents bought me a mobile phone when i was in my second year in high school. i've been using a mobile phone for six years now, and i can really say that mobiles do change a lot of things. you get to communicate with relatives and friends you haven't seen for a long time. you can as well make new friends with it. however, in our country, mobile phones are also used by some people to do evil things. cell phone scam is one of the problems here.

Try to radunate a vast group of people is troublesome even now, I can't imagine how we would do without mobiles. I remember when I and a friend of mine tried to communicate with walky talky in the streets of Salerno. We got lost the same and the walky talky were of no use. Now life is much better with mobiles.
