My 10 yr old son and I went to kmart the other day. He was in the toys looking around. I was a cpl isles down looking at purses. I went to check on my son and I saw him with a little girl about seven or eight. they were walking around. I asked what was going on?. He said he was helping her find her parents. She was lost. We took her to customer service and they called for her parents. I thought I would share this experience because he really made me proud of him. I definately told him what he should do next time and that he did a really good deed.

What a sweet and grown up young man. It's amazing how quick they grow up is it. It's great that he knew what to do in a situation like that. We can only hope that more children will be that responsible and know what to do also. Congradulations on having such a lovely son.

That is such a sweet story. That says a lot about you as his mother too...Great job on raising such a wonderful young man. He will look out after others from now on, especially since you praised him for it. Do you have any other children?

It is refreshing to hear a parent speaking up for their child's POSITIVE behavior. We hear just too much about what they do wrong. Good for your son - and for his parents! Kudos.

Obviously this ten year old is mature for his age and has a great upbringing. He's looking out to help another person and caring enough to take the time and trouble to do so. He'll be an absolutely amazing grown up he's such an amazing kid....Good job, Mom!

That's so awesome! You should be proud of him! My daughter told me how she stopped in the hallway at school and helped a boy clean up the mess from dropping his school box. She's only seven. I was so proud of her too! I think it really says something about our parenting when our kids do great things like that.
