Getting paid to write poems and short stories

I've always loved writing poems and short stories. Does anyone know any place I can submit my works to be published? Perhaps greeting cards, books, ebooks, websites, etc. I would love to be able to get paid doing something I enjoy. Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I'm going to submit a few poems to Blue Mountain this week. It's nice to know my poetry may earn me a little extra income!

Triond will publish poems. When people submit articles to Triond they are published on their websites. If you create an ebook of poems you can sell it on Lulu.com. Good luck with your writing.

I know this is a really old discussion, but maybe you will like Triond. It's a site that pays you to write stories or anythihg else you want, and the more views the site where they publish your article gets, the more money you get. work-online.org.uk is a good site that pays you to write short stories that are more than 400 words long. It gives you 25 pennies for each story to start out with, and then increases your earnings as you go on. My referral code for that is WOR:0721 Please join under me if you are going to join.
