HI, How many of you celebrate valentine's Day? I don't usually I think that this holiday is way over rated. It might just be because I never receive anything for it. What about you?

When I was a teenager I use to celebrate Valentines day, I couldn't wait for the day. I don't really celebrate it today, but I think that is because my partner thinks it is commercialised and you shouldn't need a day to show someone you love them. I would still like to celebrate it and spoil each other on that day, however if it is only a one way steet. I think I might act like it is just another day.

I got engaged on valentines Day 2001. So for me it holds a special meaning. For that reason yes I celebrate. But to be honest if I got engaged on Ground hogs day I would celebrate that too. There is no law that says "One must celebrate Valentines Day" If you don't feel like it then don't lol. But if I were you, I take it on differently. I'd say hey this is a great day to do something to pamper myself. So why not? get your nails done, or take a long hot bath, whatever as long as its for you. That's what I did in the past.

Wow, you have a holiday for Valentine's Day in your country. Cool! We dont have any holiday for this beautiful event. In fact, many people and organizations in our country India believe that Valentine's day is ruining the culture of the country and hence they protest against it. But I am against this protest and in support of tha fact that V-Day should be allowed to be celebrated because it spreads lots of love, just like any other public festival. Well, even I dont recieve gifts on V-Day but I still enjoy it. I feel happy when I see lovebirds being happy in each others company.

I don't celebrate Valentine's day that much. Well, giving beautiful roses to my loved one would be alright. Our monthsaries and anniversaries were far more better holidays to celebrate.

Hello dear barbiegirl. My wife don't celebrate Valentine's Day in real, but we would like to say Happy Valentine's Day to each other on this special day. Usually I would send her some small stuff like clothes as a gift to her and she feels very happy for it. Thanks.

It was better many years back. In recent years it wasn't a "celebration" on further self review.
