Learning Disabilities

How do you recognize learning disabilities in your children? My son is in the fourth grade now, and he's really struggling. I used to think he was just being lazy, but I truly believe that he's having a hard time. It's mostly math, reading and writing. I have a conference with his teacher on Wednesday. His teacher called me for the conference, so maybe that's what he wants to discuss. Any input from any of you would be appreciated.

You should probably wait and see what his teachers want to talk to you about. It's hard to recognize something like that yourself, it's a lot better to talk to his teachers, surely they notice it if something's wrong.
