Is the grass really greener on the other side?

I have been in many different neighborhoods and sometimes I notice that the lawns on one side of the street is a bit greener or healthier than the lawns on the other side. I don't know exactly why this happens but i think it might becuase of the position of the houses blocking the sun. Have anyone else notice this in their neighborhoods? Is the grass really greener on the other side?

Yeah I see it that way sometimes when I am sad or upset or that when I come into stress or fatigue then I would look out the window and see that my neighbors lawn is in fact greener than mine and that there is nothing I can do to help change that....sometimes it helps to understand that maybe just maybe it's really brown but they pour green paint on their lawn...

lol thanks for posting but what i meant was that the lawns on one side is literally greener than the other side, not how we perceive it :P

Well if you are just talking about your neighborhood, then yes in certain instances.

I have noticed this. In my neighborhood, I think some residents take better care of their lawns than others and therefore, they have greener grass.
