I have not been active in MyLot for the past few days. I just came back from a holiday in China. During my holidays, a couple of my friends bought mobile phones. They bought it because the phone has features which Singapore does not have. I am amazed by their courage. I do not feel secured buying phones overseas. Usually when one buys phone, the phone will come with a warranty card which promises to earn 1 - 3 cents. How about yours?

I went to Shanghai. My friends bought the dual SIM card handphone. China is the first country to have a dual SIM card phone. If you have 2 hp lines, you can put both SIM cards in the same phone and use both at the same time. It's also a PDA phone. It's something that cannot be found in Singapore, that's why they bought it.

Hope u had gr8 holidays out der in China, talking abt ur discussion....well i find that buying anything expensive from overseas creates an element of doubt regarding the resilience n functionality of that thing specially electronic gadgets..its really difficult to recognize the best one among the millions as we dont have ny prior experience regarding that stuff...Definitely the question of security plays the part....Still v r tempted to buy certain stuffs but buy only those which costs less on ur pockets dat wud also suffice ur both cravings...getting an oversea item and security....i wud specially prefer to buy small things, low on money matters...not something huge which wud further make me repent through out for my decision of buying it...

The cell phone my friends bought is considered cheap (compared to similar phone sold in my country). I guess that's they reason why they are willing to buy. Anyway, I had a good time in China. =D

I wouldn''t buy any electrical products overseas on holiday, because of past experiences. When i brought something electrical from a different country in the past it stopped working alot quicker than the same thing if you brought it in this country. Something else i brought worked well for the time i had it in that country but when i got it back to this country it wouldn't work and i thought it may have got damaged getting it back on the plane, but i did some research about products working abroad and not when you get them back home, i found a some sites said that some electrical products do not work due the electrical plug needing less electricity volts than we get out of a plug in this country. Some things probably do work though, probably just depends what you buy. ~Joeys wife
