Does anyone know of a property next to the sea for holidays in England?

I have been looking for a quaint,pretty,unusual property right next to the beach. Quiet and beautiful. Somewhere me and hubby and kids can relax,explore....yet away from the touristy places! Just for a holiday...it seems a tall order! I adore the sea,to be right next to it that i can almost dip my feet in it,i love the sound and smell. I have looked and looked and looked but to no avail. Do you know of such a dreamy holiday place,have you been to such a place? All your ideas much appreciated!! i
