My favorite part was when he kicked his "friend" the soccer ball,i almost laughed my butt off with this!I also cried a tiny bit when he lost his "best friend" when it floated out to sea.I actually felt the pain when he stepped on a sharp shell or whatever and cut his foot,OUCH!! or cut his hand too, thus making his friend,a freaky deaky face.I love this movie, its heart wrenching and can actually happen to anyone. What did you think of it?

I also like the part where he got into an argument with Wilson, ending up kicking him out of the cave. Only to go find him because that was his only friend. I love this movie, mostly because of the brilliance of the storyline and budgeting. I mean, you know the producers had to make a ton of profit off of this one. For most of the movie, its only one actor (Tom Hanks) and barely any script. I guess my favorite part is when Chuck (Tom Hanks) has set up camp for the first night, and starts hearing things that he thinks is people. Its actually coconuts falling off the trees. I know this is a weird favorite, but there is a story behind it. When I first saw Cast Away, I was at my Aunt's house. Before then I had seen the previews, but really wasn't into seeing it. But my Aunt decided to put it in, so I watched. My aunt has a very good surround sound system in her living room. Anyway, I really got into the movie, much to my surprise, after the plane crash. The room was dark, so I had really blocked out everything except the movie. We got to the part where he set up camp. He was sitting under the remnants of the raft that brought him to shore, when the first coconut drops. I literally jumped and looked behind me to see what the noise was. Oh, the speaker back there, surround sound heh-heh. You would think I would have learned from the first drop, but I proceeded to jump a couple more times because I would forget about the speakers and get back into the movie. Then it would drop again, and I'm trying to figure out where the noise is coming from. So that is why that is my favorite part.

I almost forgot. You know the part that really got to me in this movie? (Besides his dumb friends having all that seafood at his welcome home party, come on now what do you think he ate for the past 4 years, really!!!) But when Chuck finally got back to civilization, the first thing he does is get on another FedEx plane. I'm sorry but that couldn't have been me!!! You better send me a bus ticket, a limo, a train, Hell I will walk to wherever you need me to get to. But I have been on an island for the past four years because of a plane, why would I want to get back on one. I would have had people mad at me, because they would just have to wait until I got there. I would not have gotten on that plane, or any other plane for a good while if ever!

That was a great movie! I thought it was really sad when his friend floated out to sea. You know if he didnt have that friend I dont think he could have made it. Just goes to show you we all need someone to talk to.

Yes i even cried alittle bit when i saw how it affected tom when he couldnt go swim to get his friend,it was either loose the raft or get his friend and die anyway with no floating device. We all need a friend even if its a rock, haha! Peanutjar:)

I liked the parts where he just talked to the soccer ball like it was talking back to him. lol. and the part where the soccer ball drifts out to sea and he tries to save it. That was a very good movie and I could watch it over and over again and never get sick of it.

I love that movie. I just never understood why he wanted off the island so bad. I would have loved to just stay there. I definately would have went back if I did get off. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

It's Tom Hanks. I liked it alot. My favorite part was after he'd been rescued. All this time he's been on an island. Eating crab, shrimp and coconut. They throw him a welcome home party at the hotel. And there is all the food he's been eating all those years. I cried where's the cheeseburgers. Get the man a pizza. It's just a good movie.

It's been quite some time since I watched this movie. I saw it the first week it came to the theaters. Then I watched it again at home when it came out on DVD. The only part that comes clearly to mind for me, was when he had to pull his teeth out. That was awful to watch. This was and is one of the best movies ever made, in my opinion. I remember when it first started I thought it would be boring because it was very slow paced, but it turned out to be an excellent movie. I think I'll rent the DVD again and watch it again. thanks for a reminder about it.
