I get bored when driving on the road without music. I don't tend to use the radio stations because I get tired of listening to the same old song that keeps playing every other minute or hour. I usually burn my own CD and listen to it. I listen to a mixture of hip hop/R&B and rock - alternative, punk or metal. It is also convenient when I am driving on the freeway.

If I were your girl or someone just riding beside you, I'd prefer music that makes you alive, laugh, and exercise your brain. I'd go for high pitch tones like those sang by Charlotte Church, Josh Groban, Andrea and the like. Tones of their music will awaken you, and if you try to imitate the way they sing, you'll laugh at yourself for not reaching the notes and most of all, your memory and IQ will improve. Science has proven this. Your brain works more if you listen to this kind of music lol

I mainly listen to burnt CD's as well. I usually listen to a lot of hip hop and pop. Then sometimes I will listen to Daugherty, evanescence, etc. I can listen to just about anything except country.

Recently, my car was stolen, and I did get my car back, but I never got back a stereo. They ripped it off, and I was very mad. Driving around in a car with no music, not even the radio, made me want to go crazy. Then, last week, I got a new stereo installed. It is so great, as I can now listen to my ipod through the stereo. Most recently, I have been listening to Papa Roach, Turbonegro, Boys Like Girls, HIM, CKY, and Mayday Parade in the car.

I usually listen to the soft rock stations that play music from the 80's, 90's, and today. I grew up with this kind of music and like to listen to it while I am driving. I do get tired of hearing the same song over and over again though and will switch radio stations when this happens. And then there are those rare occasions when more than one radio station I listen to is playing the same song at the exact same time! I switch back and forth to make sure I'm not losing it LOL, and sure enough I'm not! LOL Sometimes I will just leave it on, other times I switch to a station I hardly ever listen to.

Hi darkangel079! You're cool! I agree with you that listening to some radio stations could be sometimes so boring. It has a lot of commercials and the music that they play is not really the one that I would love to hear at times. I guess we do the same thing. I do burn my own CD with my play lists. These play lists usually include rock and ballad music to keep me so alive while driving my way to wherever I would want to go. You rock!

I listen to various rock cds I have usually bands like My chemical romance, Foo Fighters, The used, The Fray, Thursday. I also get sick of radio stations because they replay the same songs and I don't like all the songs played.

depends who is in the car with me, if it is me or my daughters alone with me I tend to listen to classical or ecclesiastical or perhaps even some blue grass. if the fellows are with me I grin and bear country usually, but sometimes we will have the blue grass on. lately my son has been listening a lot to Styx in the car with me, I can take it for some time, I find the classical feel in their music as well as an actual voice that can sing to be very welcome - but half way through their songs they turn up the bass and get harder.

when I"m driving I like to listen to Classic Rock. It keeps me awake. Anything else makes me bored, sleepy or gives me a bad headache.
