Moving to North Carolina seems to be the thing to do

I read an article online yesterday about how more people are moving to North Carolina than any other state. And I can believe that if you just look around some of the areas. It seems like every year more and more businesses are rising up, housing developments are being made and schools are having to be built. I don't know about all of you but I take pride in knowing that this state is growing more and more each year. If you want to read the article the link is: http://www.wsoctv.com/news/15021606/detail.html

I'm actually going to NC on Tuesday (not moving). My parents are from there and I have family there. I used to go and spend every summer there from the time when I was a baby until 16. And some holidays but not many. I guess it's an ok place to live. I've never considered moving there myself.

I moved to North Carolina 1 1/2 yrs ago and have never regretted it. I live in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. My husband came here to work and I came up for my vacation. When I left and went back to Houston; I just felt out of place there. I just couldn't imagine not living in a place that the beauty takes my breath with every curve. I just wish that those that move here would learn to drive around the curves. lol They drive me/us crazy driving 10 mph down this mountain.

Yeah I haven't been up to the mountains in a while, I miss visiting up there. I hope I can go up there next summer because I love it. And yes, last time I went up there I got behind some of those 10 mph drivers haha, it was awful. Thanks for the response!

I lived in NC for a good chunk of my life. It is indeed a beautiful state..all the way from the coast to the mountains. Things were always economically stable when i was there, lots of jobs. I lived on the coast which was big in the summertime. There are a lot of private islands where the elderly have went there to retire, some even on non private islands such as where my grandmother lives. and not to mention the beaches are wonderful :)

I move to NC about a year and some change, now to be honest I've been wondering if I made the right choose. Maybe it could be the area I'm in because theres no job opportunities here. I reside in Vance County(Henderson) & I won't refer anyone to this location. I moved to NC from NJ. I hope by next year I've saved enough money to move out of this town.

We moved to N.Carolina almost two years ago, not by choice, bit because my husband had a job transfer. I have to admit, I do love it here, we are in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains and it's beautiful. The people are friendly for the most part. The only problem is that jobs in this area are really hard to find, with the loss of so many textile plants and mills, the unemployment rate is really high.

I was born and raised right hee in North Carolina and yes I have notice that everywhere you go they are building it up and it is a good thing. Now only if the city I live in would just keep some jobs around for people it will be okay.
