Bolts over Colts (Despite Injuries)

I thought the Chargers and Colts game today was very good. I was really unsure the Chargers could hang with Indianapolis despite me being a Chargers fan (they are my second favorite team) The game was close the whole time and what I find amazing is that they stayed close when L.T. got hurt. Who would have thought that Turner could have came in there and do enough to keep the game close. What is even more amazing is that when the Chargers were down at the end of the game by 3, and Phillip Rivers went out with an injury, Billy Volek came in the game and drove the Chargers down the field to score with 1:48 left in the game. Peyton Manning could not master another last game heroic and the Colts' dreams of repeating came to an end at the hands of the San Diego Chargers. The final score was 28 to 24. The question now is that can the Chargers get healthy enough to hang with the Patriots and try for the ultimate upset? Can they be the team who knocks the two most powerful AFC teams out of the Super Bowl picture? And if they do get by the Patriots I really think you have to consider them as a likely winner in the Super Bowl whether they have to play Green Bay, Dallas or NY.

I live in San Diego - been here for over 25+ years. The game was awesome! We watched the whole game yesterday. What a battle! What a game! Very tough! It was like gladiators and clash of the Titans! Eventhough L.T was injured and out of the game - the Chargers played their best and became victorious - what a close game! When we saw that the San Diego Chargers won the game we were just going wild! The neighbors next door were going crazy. Cars were honking outside with their charger bolt flags. Now for your information about the Patriots Game next week - We are hoping for San Diego to beat them and upset their long undefeated winning streak to make history that our city San Diego has got what it takes to endure through the thick and thin. They started off sloppy in the beginning but came back stronger - We are hoping to see San Diego back in the Super Bowl once again. If they become victorious over Patriots - I don't know what San Diego is going to do, but I know downtown will be packed and expecting more people to go crazy and wild.

" San Diego, Super Chargers!"I think that they have the best chance to win over the Pats if they play the same way they played this game.It depends on Rivers and the chargers D. If Rivers plays and the D can get to Brady, the Chargers will win.It all depends. One thing is certain, it will be a good game. ps. What is your favorite team?

Yes it was a good game. Personally I am always for the Colts they are my team. I guess with living in Indiana that is why but who knows. But since they lost. I am for anyone who can beat the Patriots. I also like Green Bay and Dallas so it will be nice to see who the two teams are for the superbowl.

Congratulations to the San Diego Chargers! They matched up nicely vs. the Colts and Volek has always been a clutch backup. Look at how well he did a few years with the Titans. They have been very focused since losing to the Vikings and giving up nearly 300 yards to the rookie Adrian Peterson. After that game, the players called a players only meeting and LT spoke to the team...he talked about sacrifice and focus and not letting the coaches get blamed for their performance on Sundays. Good luck to them next week vs. the mighty Patriots. Hopefully LT can play and Gates' toe will be better also. Still going to be a tough battle and they will most likely be 10 point underdogs.

Yeah I have always thought Volek was a good quarterback, and when he left Tennessee i really thought he would go someone and get a lot of playing time. But he is right where he needs to be, and he fits in good with their offense so that if Rivers has to come out of a game like today they don't really lose too much of a step. And yes, it will be a tough game for them going into Foxboro but if they do stay focused I think they could be on their way to the Super Bowl.

Yes, this was a great win for the Chargers. They are getting more and more comfortable playing under Norv Turner's system and showing that they are one of the better teams in the NFL. They have a great roster. I think the key in putting them over the hump is their passing game is coming to life. Jackson and Chambers made alot of key catches today. They had 2 or 3 screen passes today for big plays at key times. I am starting to believe in Phillip Rivers a little more. It is going to be a huge hill to climb to go into New England to play the mighty Patriots. I hope Rivers and LT are healthy. I think New England will win but I think San Diego will make it very difficult for them to do so.
