Damaging aspects of human activity would be: Driving (gas particles kill the ozone layer and add to pollution) Smoking (the smoke kills plants that withstand a lot of exposure) and littering (harmful materials don't fertilize and cause animals and plants to ingest toxic material and die) However things we can do that help the environment is buy hybrid cars, quit smoking, and take trash to a landfill plant. Other things include planting trees, plants, and flowers.

I would say the world is being both damaged, but also a better place to live. For one Global Warming, the damages society is doing is leaving trash in remote areas, trash that can hurt the earth's atmosphre. Not only that but gas, causes damage, and oil, however at the same time we have those who are trying to help the earth by conserving, and recycling. So all in all it's both, not one or the other.
