My Post Was Stolen!

If it was word for word, that is stealing! I'm glad you reported them, that type of abuse gives this site a bad rep. Good for you for standing up for yourself, and for all of us who put some thought into our posts.

It has never happened to me but it has happened many times to other mylotters, because they have complained about it..You did the right thing by reporting that person, and mylot will have a good talk with them.No one likes a thief, but sometimes it happens here,so don't think that you are the only one this has happened too..They will get punished and they might lose points,any time this kind of things happen just report that person..If they do it again to someone my lot will close out their account.I am very sorry this happened to you but really most everyone here are really nice, so do not let this discourage you in any way....

Quite alot of peoples discussions are very simular, just worded slightly different on here. But having someone completely copy every word is annoying, because you took the time and effort to think of the discussion and someone goes and completely copies it. Post in their discussion saying sarcasticly "you thought you created this discussion first and this is exacly the same wording" Even if you don't bother them, you may be able to stop people posting in that discussion. ~Joeys wife

This hasn't happened to me, at least not that I am aware of, but I have heard of this happening to other mylotters. I also saw first hand some blatant cheating where one mylotter copied someone else's response and posted it as his own! Luckily I caught this and some of the other mylotters helped out by checking out his discussions/responses. Sure enough he did this several times and he was cheating his way through mylot. Some of us reported him and I believe his account got banned soon after. Cheaters are not allowed here on Mylot. Although a few find there way in here every now and then, most of us are honest enough to know better than to do this.

Yes, i saw that discussion and yours... and i must say that everyting was copied word per word and even the periods and commas... so the best thing is to report that incident to the mylot admin...you started the discussion first so there is no way for her to say that you are the one who copied from her... I hope this doesn't happen again... and i hope the one who did it will be given a penalty... good luck to you...

I dont know about stealing.. but certainly duplicated.. Fat is wrong if it hurt weight.. But not if they have big frames.. Chubby people need love too..

I responded to that girls post too. I feel really bad. I should've taken the time to read other posts first and I would've noticed that you had the SAME one. I'm mad at this cause I gave an honest answer to the post and it should've went to you, not her! I'm very sorry! I hope mylot does something about this, it's not fair to you. You took the time and patience to make a meaningful post and she just took it!
