i wish there's an easy way to deal with this, but i don't think there's any. pray for him, and with him, though. sometimes, miracles do happen.

yes, you're right, and i'm glad to know you're not giving up on him, and neither is he. good luck. i'm really glad to know of the developments he's been having lately. who knows, miracles still happen even in this modern age.

I was told a long time ago. As long as there is breath, there is hope.

My mother is also stage 4 small cell lung cancer. She is currently taking her 6th chemo treatment. I know how hard it is as we are going through the same thing. Mama is 73 and knows there is no cure for her. She was told with treatment she had 7 to 9 months (we are now on month 5) and 12 to 18 if she responded well to the VP16 and Carboplatin. She is under Hospice which is a blessing to us. I am here anytime you need to talk and will send my e-mail address if you would like it.

firefly, that is so nice of you to offer yourself like that. may god bless you both as you go through these very rough times. my dad has been bedridden for two and half years before he finally rested. i know it's not anything like cancer, but we all felt the pain with him. i guess, when you love somebody too much, you just feel the exact thing he feels.

my hubby is doing good. the cancer in left lung is gone they said. the cancer in his chest has shrunk for 5cm to 2.5 so it is working. he feels great and seems to be ok for now. he hunts and walks, and fishes. the taxol about got him bad. so they changed his chemo. so far so good. his hair is now coming back too. i hope he will be around in a few years. he is stage 4 they said. but we will see. he is a fighter and wont give in to it.

I am so sorry to hear this. I am a cancer survivor but I can't tell you how to deal with terminal cancer. Pray for him and I will too. You should seek out support from others dealing with the same kind of cancer. It helps.
