I need your help on this one...reconnecting with an estranged child

When I first posted on mylot I vaguely gave a description of a woman who claimed guardianship of my daughter. I will describe more. About 9 years ago I gave birth to a child out of wedlock. Her biological father was abusive and I started seeing a different guy shortly after I got pregnant just to really get away. I was only 20 then. Anyhow, my new boyfriends mom(Sue)accused me of cheating on him to get pregnant when in fact I was pregnant before I got with him(adam). Throughout the pregnancy she was verbally and physically abusive. We finally moved in together in our own home and I forgave her. Later when I gave birth she talked the boyfriend into signing the birth certificate because she knew what I had gone through with the ex(wayne). At that time I didn't know what my rights were and let him sign it. Now, Wayne knew it was his and contacted me a year after the birth. I told him to take me to court and when he later contacted me, he said that since Adam had signed the afidavit of paternity there was nothing he could do. He left me alone after that.
