Sick Ghananian lady forcibly removed from UK hospital!

I simply had to see if anyone else held the same views as me over the treatment of this poor woman. She came over here from Ghana four years ago to pursue her studies, she overstayed her student visa and then became ill and was hospitalised. She had problems with her kidneys and now has to be on dialysis every day or she can die. She had no where to live because she was no longer a student and no money to support herself. She has been living in a hospital in the UK whilst her case was heard. A week ago, this desperately ill woman was forcibly removed from her hospital bed and sent home to Ghana. I saw on the TV last night that the vital dialysis treatment she needs will cost her over £6,000! She can't get work because of her medical condition and the need for constant treatment. My question is, do you agree with the UK parliament in deporting her in this way? Personally, although she is quite clearly in the wrong over outstaying her visa, she is now a desperately ill woman and to receive such treatment, to me, beggars belief. Surely the authorities checked whether she would be able to have this vital treatment. Did they think about the cost? My other question is, 'what on earth has happened to compassion in this country'? I feel ashamed to be a Brit knowing how badly this woman has been treated by our authorities!
