Helping Inspire The Sick and Injured to Get Better

Going to visit a co-worker soon who was in a terrible car crash a year ago. She is out of the rehab center and is back home, but she's not making much improvement. What can I do or say to inspire her to get motivated to get better? I feel so bad for her, and I was always telling her to stay off prescription medications because they are nothing but poison, but NO, she had to go see her doctor who gave her a different prescription and what do you know, a couple days later she hit a tree head-on on the way to work and almost died.
