MyLot users are not bloggers?

I have been visiting the blogging interest section of MyLot and there are very few active users in this section. It seems a lot of the people that use myLot have a blog, but very few are interested in discussing it. Do you think it's because everyone is so busy trying to make money that they don't have time to learn more about blogging? Or that they are only interested in earning money iwth their blog and don't have time to improve it?

Maybe it's because most people joined the group to promote their blogs. I'm not going to lie, the reason I joined that category is because I also have a blog. And with that, people tend to promote their blog also for more feedback on their blog as others would visit it rather than just posing questions.

I think there is a lot of truth to what you have said. I love receiving feedback about my blog, but at the same time, I do love to promote it. :)

Probably both! It seems everyone that is trying to make money with a blog don't really seem to be interested in actually "blogging," they are simply trying to use it as a form of affiliate marketing because that's what the "program" they joined told them to do! LOL!!

I think you hit the nail on the head. Either that, or they just started a blog to make it easier to promote all their programs. Well, who can blame them?

Maybe it's a matter of category. I notice this discussion is posted in 'blogger,' but most of the posts I've read about blogging in the past (a long time ago) were under the category 'blogging,' with some also in 'writing,' or 'making money.' You might want to check those categories as well. Mylot has a place where bloggers can register their blogs, but I've always found it confusing to use (and the blogs I submitted didn't show up).

I sometimes post under "websites I visit regularly" "blogger", but I find the section is mainly full of people trying to get you to sign up under them or visit their blog so it's not worth reading really. I've only just added this interest so I might post under it more regularly if the content is better.

I suppose you are likely right. If I post only in the blogger category, it doesn't seem to draw "spammers". Hopefully you will be able to help keep the section alive and help us all learn.

Hmm, I think you misunderstood, or perhaps I wasn't clear. People that use myLot, don't discuss blogging. No one uses blogging as an interest and so there is very little discussions in the blogger interest category. I don't think that people blog on mylot... although I did submit my blog for review and never received a response.
