Suzuki Intruder VS 750 Won't start after storage!

I am currently overseas and my bikeis at a friends house after being in storage for alittle over a year...he is unable to get the bike started!! I need to find out what he needs to do to get it running again? It ran fine before putting it in storage! It turns over but will not start. Thanks!! Richard
