I catch my phone thief but......

I was taking the bus when I felt a hand in my jacket's pocket. It was my phone in there. I turned around my head and I see a boy 14 years old that was stealing my phone. I took his hand but he poot the phone in teh toher hand and gave my phone to another boy. The bus was full with people but no one helped me or call the police.I just gave a slap to the boy 'cause I was affraid he was big enough for me and I went home. Why no one didn't help me? I s there any reason why people do not warry any more for each other?

People are weird these days. I see that most the time they don't want to get involved in anything that doesn't concern them....they may have figured it's just a cell phone they can get another one. Or chances are maybe the people around didn't know what was going on unless you made a scene....But yet those same people if it were them would have wanted your help.
