Recently, I downloaded a registry cleaner and let it run. I click clean registry. The problem was that some of the files might be deleted. My yahoo messenger can't function anymore. Even my yahoo mail runs very slow. What can i do? I hope for your answers, thank you!

You have to be very cautious when using Registry Cleaner programs. The reason is because when choosing what files to clean it will ask you to make a backup first before making changes. The thing is when doing that process before anything it will let you know what file extensions will be deleted such as .bak files (which are backup files such as licensed files through a program or other information that's been backed up for saved info), .tmp (usual new or old temp files that might no longer be in use) - but the list goes on and on. Sometimes it is risky to clean your registry - and when doing that it will start removing things that might no longer be in use or it will remove an extension and cause major issues for certain programs not to run anymore like you said your Yahoo Messenger. Your Yahoo Mail shouldn't be running slow because you're checking it through the internet - because if you say that is running slow then best to check other websites to see if they are running slow. The best solution is to remove Yahoo Messenger and reinstall it. What that does is refresh all the files associated with Yahoo Messenger and you will be able to use it again. So from now on before you do a registry cleaner make sure you do a custom (manual clean) and not a typical (automatic) clean - saves you less problems. Hope this helps you in the long run.

The registry cleaner may created a back up to restore. See check the program. Also try system restore for your pc to roll back to a earlier date...

Looks like you downloaded some sort of virus or spyware. You have to really be careful, a lot of these scams can look like legitimate software downloads. Try calling the Geek Squad to see if they can help you, or check with a local computer users forum in your area.

There are some good registry cleaners and some bad. Two free ones that come to mind are:- 1. Glarys utility - All round system and registry cleaner 2. Advanced System Care - All round system and registry as well. Both work great with some limitations as to the depth of cleaning performed. RegCure is a paid version but very thorough and accurate. The options are yours to choose. http://adwareremoval.great-domain-names.com/Adware/
