was there any point in your life when you felt exiled?

In any case, nobody really exiled me, however I did experience self-exile. This does not mean that I left home or didn’t go to school. This only means that I exiled myself from the real world and retreated to my inner space. When my mom was diagnosed with a debilitating disease a few years back, I sort of started retreating in my own world. I sort of detached myself from reality, although I still functioned normally, like going to school and still being active. However, when I am alone, I make this retreat—like an exile. During these times, I would cry out to the Lord and ask Him for healing for my mom and for deliverance for our family from this difficult time. It took awhile for me to heal, but I am thankful for that self exile. My mom is better now and I have realized and learned to many things during that time. And to this day, I am thankful, because that experience made me a better and stronger person.
