I live in Italy and I have found a shop that sells a 750 GB internal hard disk: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750 GB SATA, it costs about 160 €, equivalent to 200 $. However, I have read about a 1 TB internal hard disk, I think you can find it in the USA.

As Jan 08, the maximum internal hard drive you find is 500GB or 0.5TB for about $340. External drives can reach 1TB for the same price and 1.5T for 40% more. For servers you can put them in racks with hot swap or specify your needs.
