Hi, I don't know if anybody out there is like me, but I love working on my computer and have lots of time on my hands. I figured I should look for a job working at home on the internet. I've searched and searched and seem to come up with only scams. Someone said once that if you have to pay someone to hire you it's not legitimate. Well, that's all I've been able to find. Has anyone ever found one, or can you tell me what web sites that are honest and really offer legitimate work at home jobs. I'm really tired of being ripped off. THANKS

Hi sallysue! I don't think you're alone in that dilemma. A lot of members here have been in continuous search of legitimate work at home jobs that do pay. I think apart from joining free programs like mylot, where you don't invest a single cent and yet get paid for posting, why don't you venture into something that you really like to do or something wherein you can earn by utilizing what comes naturally within you, which is your talent. I have a full time day job, but I still do these things (mylotting and other programs as well) along with doing part time graphic designing at home which I really enjoy. I do business over the phone, get job orders, email my finished work and get paid through my bank account. And to think that I'm just a self-taught artist, yet earning really good money on that. I suggest that you find your passion and start from there. If you like what you do, money will surely follow. Goodluck! =D

Hello Steney, It was nice watching your details on the kind of work one should be doing that suits his talent. But if i say that many of us will not be able to channel the talent in a proper way.Sometimes because of the surroundings or the conditions he or she is living in.I appreciate the way you worked yourself out to make good money. I was just wondering if you could tell me how you were able to do business over the phone, get job orders and get them done.Your advise on this will be appreciated by many of us here. regards, Symmer

well if it is a work at home JOB no you should not pay for it. If it is a business then yes, usually you have to invest some amount of money. I have a home business. I didn't even consider the jobs, because unless you have experience alot of them are fraudulent.

Thank you.. I actually came across it by just searching the net...I open accounts for a partner company. I really like it and I am doing pretty good at it. I don't put as much time as I would like into it because of work and my kids. I also do 2 paid sites for a little extra cash. Every lit bit helps! I would suggest making sure the company is in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and not just registered with them. You can also check to see if they have any unresolved issues with customers or members.

Hi: what kind of a home business do you have. How did you find it, or did you make your own. Good luck with it.

Hi: I was looking through the net and found a company called gofreelance. I thought that sounds like a good company and it had the Better Business Bureau seal of approval. I thought I'd check on the company anyway. That's how I found myLot. I discovered people that seemed to be totally unhappy with the company. So can the BBB put there seal on a company that isn't all that great?

Hi, I guess we all agree that unfortunately when you seek work at home jobs, the first ones that manage to get to our attention are the scammers. Not because of their promise of big bucks, but because they've managed to find there way on web sites. I have learned to stir away from companies that ask you to pay up front. That's really ashame for people who just want a little extra pocket money, or for those that need to make the money to exist.

Hi: Ya, I do have a problem with sohojobs.org I looked at them the other day and yes they had a few really interesting jobs, but unfortunately to apply for them you had to pay $24.95 for their newsletter - isn't that a catch? Did you not find this? I'm tired of paying for the privilege of working. I've learned in the past to steer clear of those types of jobs.

checked out that site. Of course you can apply for a job but only if you subscribe to their newsletter for $24.95. Something doesn't seem right about that.

Hi sallysue! I earn money from home right now, but it's a home business opportunity, rather than a job, which means I can actually create financial freedom for myself and my family. It's free to join. You can check it out for yourself by visiting the link in my profile. There's a presentation on the site that explains how everything works. I hope this helps!

If you want to find the real deal look into some of the money magazines at the local Wal-Mart. Or check out your local morning news show. A few months back good morning america had a segment about it and provided links on their web page. I was actually called back by one but since I have no access to high speed internet I wasnt qualified. Hope this helps a bit, there are few places you can find online mostly you will get junk by searching.

Hi, when it comes to sitting in front the computer I can do that the whole day without noticing the time pass by. I've also been trying to find some kind of online job because it's the most convenient for me. Honestly I am afraid of scams. Not sure which job is genuine and which not being a student I hope I could earn some extra pocket money to survive not to build an empire. Hope someone can help me out and guide me on which kind of online jobs available are legitimate. Thanks in advance it means a lot to me.

Hi: Ya, I'm like you in sitting in front of the t.v. working on my computer. That's why I kind of wish I could find a legitimate job. If I'm going to spend my time on the net, I might as well make it productive. I'm afraid of scams as well, and there sure are a lot of them out there. Far too many companies preying on the needs of others. Maybe, someone out there can lead both of us to something that we can do on the computer that's legitimate. Good Luck in your search

Hi: Maybe this is a really dumb question but whose Jeff Paul? I really believe that if you have to pay up front for something or it looks too good to be true it's usually a scam.

SallySue, I hear your frustration as I was there once. I looked and looked and then, sure I was going to be scamed, I invested in a membership at sohojobs.org. Now - a hundred people will tell you "DONT PAY MONEY TO WORK" and I agree. I paid for the consolidated informtion and guess what? I found a legit, real work at home job. It's not my dream job mind you - but it pays pretty well and I never have to leave my house. If you want more information, ask to be my friend or shoot me an email to my yahoo address: chicagoPam1973 and I will tell you more about the site! Check it out!!! www.sohojobs.org

You are absolutely right. It works on 80/20 principle. 80% scam and 20% legitimate. I am still trying hard to find the answer and created my own website which you may like to visit. I hope it should help you to get into right direction. With best wishes. www.winmyindia.com

Hello, have you ever invest money on the net? because in that case I can say that you have been ripped off but if it's only your time that have been ripped off I can say that it's not so hard to recover. Actually I don't know a specific site withe a solid reputation instead of Mylot that is available for every country. Most of solid opportunities are US,Canada, and some European countries only.I myself is looking for something like this and any time you find any solid one please share it with me. Anyway welcome to mylot and hope you'll have great time staying here.you can earn a little extra of money by participating in discussions. To participate you have just to respond to discussions of your interest and starting discussions by posting questions.Every time somebody respond to your discussions you earn a little sum and every respond you post on any discussions, you gain too.Try your best to post respond related to the discussion you are responding to,respond as much as possible to new user discussions to give them courage to stay on the forum and respect others opinions,it's a key here to success.Find more information in the faq section down this page. Good luck, may God bless you.

There are ways to make money online without being ripped off and my lot is just one of them. I earn money online. I believe if you don't pay for anything then the only thing you lose is the time it takes you to find out the site is not going to pay you. If I joined a site and it didn't pay I would make sure I posted a warning about them on my lot and wherever else I could. If you want to make money online then check out a blog called Simply Cashed Up. Don't expect to get rich overnight because you wont. No one ever does despite what they tell you. The link for Simply Cashed Up is http://simplycashedup.blogspot.com Hope you find some stuff there that will earn you some cash.

hmmmm tell me about it,i have been in the same situation as yours and tired of looking now,i'd say 95% of them are scams asking for you to pay some money and the other 5% is lost somewhere in cyber space, lol
