I was wondering if you express yourself on the highways and byways with a Vanity License Plate attached to your vehicle? If you do, does it match your personality? I don't have one, as I have not figured out what I am yet..lol Ok, well. Let's just throw this in for a topic starter, have you ever seen a vanity license plate that contradicted the circumstance? For example, you are driving along minding your own business, humming to a nice little tune on the radio and !!!! you need to stop suddenly, for safety's sake! You slam on your brakes, the car behind you slams on their brakes and starts screaming at you while flipping you the bird..*sigh*.. I hate this. Then you glance in your review mirror and there on the Vanity License Plate is an "I LOVE JESUS" message. OR the name of a Church, you know "Mt. Pleasant Church of God" or something. Oh..that REALLY makes me take note of that church, I also make a mental note to myself to never visit that church if that is the type of behavior coming out of that place. Perhaps the church should screen the members a little better before selling them one of their plates to advertise their house of worship, or if there are so many complaints against the driver, confiscate the license plate until they can prove to behave behind the wheel, perhaps sign a waver upon purchasing. Perhaps it is our civic duty to call the church minister and give a description of the car and driver, then reporting the behavior of the driver? How about it? Do you have a Vanity License Plate and do you live up to it? Or have you ever just shook your head over a contradictory circumstance such as I have posted? Do share, I would love to hear your stories...

i have a car but personalized plates cost to much. however if i had one it would just say shoebie ( my step fathers nick name) or drkimble (my name.) i have seen some doozies out there that do fit the driver, and then there are the ones trying to front. the plates dont fit at all! like theres this pink expedtion riding around my nieborhood with "baby phat" symbol and "im bossy" in the back window. when i got a look at the driver it was either a ugly guy or an ugly woman i mean if your gonna be out there like that at least look like some thing. (but maybe they do believe they look like something.)

lol..yeah really. What is even funnier is that they believe that they are what the plate states. Maybe they are just delusional, pretenders or perhaps just wishful thinking. It's good for a laugh sometimes, though, you have to admit. Thanks for sharing, it is appreciated.

I can't say that I have a vanity license plate, heck, I don't even have a car yet. But I do remember some years ago seeing a plate that really did fit the driver. I was riding with a friend, and we pulled behind a car with the license plate "Gremlin." The car wasn't one, so I wondered why a person would pick a plate like that. I didn't have to wonder long though. At the next light we got to pull along side the woman driving. I swear to God she looked like the female gremlin from Gremlins 2! I mean lips and all!!! My friend and I laughed our butts off at her for that one lol!

Thank you for the best response. Right now I am going back and thanking everyone who has given me one. I really wasn't into it before, but I thought to myself, "I really should thank them. They didn't have to give it to me in the first place!" But now I have a job ahead of me. I have to go back through all of them from the time I started here, and I've been here 14 months. Recently I've been getting three and four a day. Oy!
