shoplifting

I have a friend who shoplifts.. What I don't understand is she has the money to pay for things, but she just has to see what the amount she saves on her total bill. It's a high for her to be able to save that money. Also I think it's a high for her to be able to get away with it. From food to tissues, it doesn't matter. Does anyone know someone like this?

I think it is classed as an illness isn't it, I am not sure, I guess one way of looking at it is she has the money maybe because she doesn't pay for things the rest of us do, oh I would be too scared of getting caught to do anything like that, too much stress there I am afraid.
