its been a while when i started seeing these photo mosaics in malls..
was kinda curious..so i tried doing one myself..
finally had a successful try out..hehe..take a look at them..

Mosaic Creator (http://www.aolej.com/mosaic/) does this more or less automatically, wit lots of options and variations. So does http://www.gold-software.com/download703.html and many other programs.
I rather like the mosaics made up of irregular pictures of aspects of a persons' life and interests: there are various programs to generate these; basically, you specify the pictures and the maximum number of times any one picture can appear; you nominate one image to be used as the template for the final picture, and the software does the rest. Better packages also let you fine tune the results, or have various levels f control. Picture Medley isn't bad for a freebie.
