How do you put on a shirt?

When I was younger, I was amazed at seeing other put on a sweatshirt of some sort because I realized the way they put on their shirts was very strange to me, simply because I always put mine on a certain way, and the way they put a shirt on was completely different than mine. I always put a shirt over my head first and then put my arms in the shirt and then I'm done. However, I know a lot of people put their arms in first and then their head. So, I'm curious, how do you put on a shirt? Head first or arms first and why? Were you taught this or was it just something that stuck with you?

It's head first for me, since I need to check if I'm putting the my shirt on it's proper side. I also noticed most people do that, I tried doing it but I am not used to it as if I feel it's awkward. I guess I'm just used to doing it, I can't remember that somebody or someone, even my parents, teaching me that way in donning up shirts..

I'm female, but was told I put my shirts on in a 'boy' way. I put my head in first, followed by my arms. It jars my head less, and is just the way I do it. My mom and sister though, never put their shirts on that way. They did the arms and then the head.

Wow, I've never heard that putting your shirts on headfirst was the male way to do it. That's an interesting concept. I think my mom and grandmother both put shirts on headfirst, and since I do too you are not alone.

I do the arms first, kind of a standing up "dive." I'm also known to have no problem putting them on when they are inside out, something my roommie (who is blind after all) can't seem to master. I learned this way from my mom, but now she has to do it your way, probably because of the stokes.

I always put my shirt on arms first. Don't know why I do it that way. I have just done it. I find it easy to teach my kids to put on their shirt head first. My two oldest I see them put it one different ways. Sometimes head first and sometimes arms first. I guess its just how you're feeling that day. lol
