Dealing with allergies caused by mountain cedar

I was just curious to know who has experienced seasonal allergies, specifically, mountain cedar, and how do you treat it? I live in Texas and every year around this time I find myself miserable for weeks it seems. A common cold typically lasts around 1-2 weeks so I know the difference. Right now i am on allergy meds and i feel pretty good. For a long time however, I had shortness of breath, a scratchy throat, and i'm constanly battling my sinuses and the urge to sneeze. I am taking the walmart-brand allergy medicine in capsule form. Are there any natural remedies that i should be aware of? Describe your experiences.
