are people naturally good or naturally bad

Observing people are one of my favorite past times. and as a teacher i also have the privilege of observing my students. I have observe that some people seems to have a natural goodness in them. I takes little effort for them to be kind and courteous. But some people seems to be naturally bad. How could that be?

I think people are naturally good. That goodness in them is also encouraged by their home life and their surroundings.
Maybe alot who appear to be "naturally bad" really aren't and they are just reacting to things that are happening in their life at that time, like a defense mechanism. Or exhibiting things they were taught to be acceptable by either their parents or peers.
The ones that maybe are considered "naturally bad" possibly have an underlying mental/medical issue that causes them to act out. But overall, I really do believe people are naturally good or want to do good.

Reading your words always tickles me. Short, sweet and too the point. Well, sometimes not so sweet but...always a pleasure to read. You are truly one of a kind my friend. :)
Back on topic now. My wonderful friend here proved what I was saying. He didn't have to pop in and be nice, but he's naturally that way. Usually most people who are shown kindness and respect react equally. It just takes longer with some to get through a barrier that could be caused by many things through no fault of their own.

I believe in the sayin that "all men are by nature good"... i was also a teacher before and i love kids that show natural goodness... and made it a point to guide others into differentiating what is good and what is bad...
I think it is the duty of the teacher to teach children to choose and do what is good not only for them but for society as well...i admire you for being a teacher and i hope i can go back to that profession in the future...

Every person is a mix of both good and bad.No one can be labelled either good or bad.

I don't think people are naturally bad. No one is all good or all bad. People make bad decisions and you don't know what kind of circumstances a person comes from. Some people are just misguided and do bad things at times but I'd like to think there is some good qualities in everyone just like there are some bad qualities in everyone.

Every child born on this earth is good. The good and bad is basically on how we groom our children. There will be mischievousness in children and that has to be sharpened for good by parents and teachers.
