My husband and I have decided, after 7 years together 3 years of marriage and three kids, to start a date night. He wants me to plan it. I don't know what to do. He comes home from Iraq at the end of march so I have time. But we have not had any alone time in two years (since the birth of our first born) What do parents do together leaving the topic of children out??

That is a tough one...go out to dinner and a movie or go bowling. Do something that will keep you minds focused on one another instead of just conversing about your children. I am in the same situation. My husband will be home from Iraq in june and we are going to try and do the same thing one night a week. it's very important that you find time for yourselves where the kids aren't involved. it keeps things alive in your marriage and becomes less stressful having that time together with no one but the two of you. if you come up with any ideas let me know and i'll do the same.
