Blood elf = overrated?

Well for blood elves I think its for the pally but its also for the chocobos (sorry I had to! :p). There is also slightly easier Enchanting since thats their job racial. The other racial is tapping mana and getting an instant silence. It can be nasty if done right. Their racials aren't that good, but I think its TBC doing as well as some people leaving alliance for the horde via a "pretty" race. As for Horde, I think playing a Tauren or Undead is pretty good, but the other races are fun too.

I think it's just the fact that it's all new and shiny, personally. Most of the Horde players I know have been playing for a long time, and already have had characters of all the other races. So making a blood elf is new and different to them. I know my husband's primary guild decided before the expansion was even out that they were going to create an all-blood-elf party for their alts once it was out. Kind of a way of keeping the game interesting even though they've been doing it for a long time. I started a blood elf for the same reason: because I'd already tried everything else. I'm not sure I like the blood elf better than any of the others, but it is neat to have a new race to play. Oh, and then of course you can't ignore the people who create female blood elves just because they think they're hot! :P
