No. Even if your family member is on the way to the hospital and is about to die, that's not an excuse to drive drunk. Everyone has neighbors or a phone to call 911. The cops will come get you and take you to the hospital if you explain to them that you are too drunk to drive. What good will you do to your family member if you're in the room next to them because you drove drunk and crashed head first into a phone pole or a tree?

Maybe if you are mentally unsound. But if thats the case, you are not allowed to drive at all. So by driving you're already breaking the law.

No, there are no legal excuses for driving drunk. It is much better to slep in the car (if forced to) and wait until the intoxication has gone away, and until that its not legally to drive at all.

Absolutly not. I cant think of a single resaon anyone would hvae to drive drunk. People might think Ive gotten away with it once so ill get away with it again. This is never the case sooner or later it will catch to you. The sad thing is it will often result with fatal results.

No I do not think that there is a legitimate excuse for drinking and driving because if you are going to go and get wasted all you have to do is get together with your buddies and someone else thats going out with you and just pay someone that isn't going to drink to be the responsible driver and drive you all home so there isn't anyone that is driving under the influence...I think that is the best way to do things because you can go out and get drunk if you want to plus the driver can make a little extra spending cash while being at the party too.

legitimate reason? a lot of people THINK they have a legitimate reason...I only had 1 drink, I do this all the time, I'll drive carefully...blah blah. I don't believe for a second that there is ANY reason that is worth getting behind of the wheel while intoxicated. Decide to drive while sober at all times BEFORE you every go out drinking and have the sense to stick to your decision. If your mind is already made before a sticky situation arises, it's easier to just say no.

There is no reason what so ever for driving drunk. Drunk driving is an extremely stupid thing to do no matter what.
