"Kickin' It Old Skool" is the tale of 12 year old (Jamie Kennedy) who went into a coma because of a failed breakdancing move. At age 20 he awakes & endeavors to reassemble his old breakin' crew, to enter a competition that could bring them much needed currency.
Besides a bit of charm mustered up, in its conclusion, this movie is a bland uninteresting dance comedy.
It lacks creativity, delivering only recycled unfunny humor. The acting is bland and uninspired. The story is predictable and void of amusement, even to those who are major Kennedy fans.
The break dancing is deficient in its entertainment value, & is inadequately choreographed.
With a length nearing 2 hours, it's regrettably long. Exhausting a premise that was curious for about one fourth of its time.
I've experienced Jaime Kennedy flicks, that held at least a fair portion of amusement & dumb humor that brought chuckles, yet this one is bland in it's entire form.
If you fail to view "Kickin' It Old Skool", you will not be missing anything substantial. It's on par with a bad television sitcom. It may be a curious concept, but the execution is appalling
