Why do they stop selling the best ice cream?

Does anyone remember quite a few years ago there was a ice cream brand called Gino Genelli (not sure about spelling). Well every Christmas me and my sister use to get to choose some a tub as a treat and my fav was toffee fudge, it was so nice toffee ice cream with bits of fudge in. Well Gino Genelli ice cream was fab so why stop making/selling it? Don't companies do crazy things? Any ideas?
