The US has been over in a country that wants them out and the gas prices have gone sky hi. Is it because of the oil that the US had been getting from their country. Could someone shed some light on what the war is still surpose to really be about??

War is always good for the defense industry but I believe the primary goal of the war in Iraq is to position a western power in the middle east for the next big war. The secondary goal was to united the people of the United States against a common and vague enemy (namely "terrorism") in order to distract them from seeing just how corrupt the government and the corporations that run it have become. The individuals that control the industrialized nations are apparently pitting the christians against the muslims. Since each of these religions has an "end time" in their mythologies, it seems they want to set up armegedeon. The only speculation I can come up with toward the reasoning behind this is to reduce population levels since the planet is rapidly running out of resources while the population continues to expand.
