USA's health service and Michael Moore's Sicko / myLot

I recently saw the film called "Sicko", which shows the worst face of medical atention in the United States. Is everything that it shows true? Is it so difficult to get a health insurance in the USA?

I haven't seen sicko. It can be hard - if you have prior or continuing ailments - to get health insurance. For most people, I think the problem is cost. If you do not work at a place that offers health insurance it can be pricy to have to pay for it on your own.
