I noticed recently that after I respond to a discussion here, I'm the last

respondee. Hmm, feeling like the "kiss of death" to a discussion topic. Do the discussions here seem to have a short life of a day or so and then just dwindle off? I imagine a lot of folks here are after the earnings and am I right in assuming that starting a discussion is worth more monetarily than responding? I can't figure it out. I came here initially with the intent to earn, but am enjoying the topics and folks on here just as much.

I know what you mean. I find it rather interesting that topics dwindle off in a day as well. I mean my topics have had some lookers but nothing like I thought it would. I like to find out what other people think not only about the money but the site itself.

As the money isn't any big deal, I like the change to read everything under the sun on here and sometimes comment.

I've felt like that before too, and started a discussion about it when I was much newer to the site. I don't really feel that way anymore. Most of the time, when I respond to a discussion, I find several of my friends respond after me. Ah, the joys of stalking, or perhaps just having similar taste in discussions. :p I think the life span of a discussion can vary depending on a lot of different things. For example, if a discussion makes it to the top discussions page, then it's likely going to live longer because that's the first page you see when you hit the discussion tab, and because some people use that page to pick discussions. If you have a lot of friends and you start a discussion, it will last longer because your friends replies are constantly bumping it up on your profile page. Also, when you make new friends, many of them will go to your profile and go through and reply to a lot of your discussions, so that helps too. Another issue is whether or not someone searches for a topic you've written about, or it shows up in "similar discussions" under a popular one. That can bring to life even discussions that were started over a year ago. I know this one from experience, since one of my really old ones came back fairly recently. So, really, while some discussions do disappear after just a day, or even once they're a little ways into the new discussions list, others can come back again and again for a long time, depending on who replies and where the discussion shows up.

I am here to voice my opinion and not just to earn the money. Yes there are many discussions that I have been the last to post to. I think that if it is interesting enough then there will be larger amounts of people to post to the discussion. Just try to make good post for any discussion and you cannot go wrong. It is good that so many people have differences of opinion so that there can be so many discussions about s many different topics.

Well, I am enjoying all the topics and this is a good way to spend some time on the internet. All kinds of thought provoking ideas here. I may be making too much of this and will give as good a response and I can. thkx

Either that or there are not so much members being active at the moment. Well, summer vacation is coming up and who knows, myLot might be flooded with more discussions in relating topics of interests ^_^ ?
