Bad Language

It seems like bad language is like a part of everyones vocabulary now. I myself try not to use it but you know how it is...sometimes things just come out when your expressing your oppinions. And It doesn't bother me when other people use it around me. But I can't help but have a lot more respect for a man that wont use bad language around a woman. And when he slips and says something he appolagizes for it. And I can't help but think about how tacky it sounds to hear a woman in a crowd cussing worse then the men. Am I being to old fashioned? Or are there some of you out there that share this oppinion?

No, Shera, you are not too old fashioned. Even if people do not clean up their language out of manners, they need to do it for good business. I keep my language clean, although sometimes I am mad enough to spit, as my grandma would have said. We would be a more civil society if we respected some general behavior and language rules in the public sector.

Yes I agree about the fact that we would be a more civil society if we respected general behavior rules! I think a lot of that falls on the fact that parents wont discipline their children or teach them or talk to them about anything. I am so thankful to have had parents that disciplined me when I needed it and actually spent time teaching me things!

You are not being old fashioned. You are being polite and moral. Strange words today, but they shouldn't be. My Apt. windows face a short side street, but even so there is a lot of traffic both foot and car going by at all hours. The kids go by on the way to their bus stops. It is amazing how many filthy words it takes for them to get that short distance to their corner. Its like so many "f" words per step. Then there are the "ladies" that live here that stand outside and chat with their boyfriends. They have to use the "f" word at least in every paragraph. At least most of the guys just use that word when they are angry. I have an African Grey parrot that has an awesome vocabulary. She of course picked up these choice words, so we had to remove them. We did. Now when she wants to say them, she says the name of the women that says them the most often. When this woman hears my Bird say here name, she thinks it is so cute. I never told here why the Bird says her name.lol!!! Shalom~Adoniah

That is such a funny story about your parrot saying the womans name in place of the cuss words! I love it!
