2 more great goals from Ronaldo. The free kick was great. At the time of signing Ronaldo, people said Fergie was insane for selling Becks and replacing him with a kid for 12.5m. Even though Ronaldo was relatively proven in the Portuguese league and looked unstoppable. A few years later and he is without doubt the best player in the world. 27 goals now!!

When Beckham, and then Ruud van Nistelrooy transferred out of Man U, I thought that this would be the end of this great English club that so many people worship. I'm quite sure Alex Ferguson didn't get rid of these players for lack of skill or experience. In fact, van Nistelrooy's departure probably shocked many people, including myself, when he was such a prolific scorer for Man U. Ferguson must have dumped them for other reasons like dissent, bad influence, insurbodination or other reasons that he cannot tolerate about these players. Fortunately, Ronaldo has proven to be a gem for the club, and with him, Rooney, Tevez and the others now in top gear, Man U is now proving to be worthy front-runners in the EPL. I hope we can witness the glory days of United being replayed in these coming EPL seasons, and with United now at its best, there is nothing stopping United from gunning for a treble this season. Glory, glory Man United... as the chant goes.
