My husband loves New York Strip steak. Problem is, they are so expensive! So, when I make them, I want to make them yummy! I know he likes them seasoned and tossed on the grill, but I know there are tons of other ways to cook them, so give me your tried and true ideas! :O)

I may be bringing up something that you cannot find where you are, but here goes. A good New York Strip steak is expensive. The key to making a good steak great is to never put anything on it until it is being served. Make sure that you have your grill very hot before you put your meat on it. Sear it on both sides to keep all the juices inside, then move it to a lower temperature part of the grill to finish cooking. The key to a great steak is to let it sit on the plate for about 5 minutes before serving it. That is so all the juices don't come running out and make it tough. These are my words for how to cook a steak. THE LONGER A GOOD STEAK STAYS ON THE FIRE, THE CLOSER IT IS TO BEING A DISASTER. I have found a steak that is very tender, if cooked right. It is called a Flatiron Steak. I think it is called that because of the shape of it. This is best cooked on a George Foreman grill, and served with Montreal Steak Seasoning. It is also quite reasonable in price, and very tender. Good luck.
