Do any of you participate in the social networking sites such as myspace, myyearbook, facebook or yuwie? And what do you think of them?

I am from Philippines and most people do use Friendster as our social networking sites. I do have account n facebook but I only log in twice there cause I don't know how it works, I found less countrymen. I find it hard to interact. I have also sign up a membership in yuwie, but after a week, I quit, do they say they say members can earn money from there site. I quit because I cannot open their site easily, it keeps saying they are under construction and I am having difficulty interacting with the site.

Thanks for the response, I have tried yuwie also, but did not seem to like it very much, mostly because I have not figured it out yet. I really like mylot much better, it is easier to navigate and learn what to do plus there are great people on here, too.

Myspace, facebook, and xanga. So far facebook appears to be the most popular in my area. I like it because... its clean? Myspace is so obsessive about having your own "space" that people add pictures and backgrounds and all this stuff that just slows down your computer. Facebook is all nice and clean. :) Xanga... well... no one in my area does xanga.

Hi, I have never actually heard of xanga, guess I need to check this one out but I agree with you on the other sites. All the pictures and backgrounds do slow down your computer a lot.

I actually have and still do use some social networks....I have a fubar account...and I also have a myspace account but I hardly ever check in on them to see what everyone is up to I think that if you really watch what you are doing on myspace and the rest of the sites that they can be alot of fun...and some people use them to look up old friends from high school...I have heard about myspace reuniting people who havent seen each other in years and years and they are now as good or better friends than they were in the first place...so as long as your careful I think that they are great

I think you are absolutely correct about being careful. I have myspace, facebook and myyearbook, but use the myyearbook more than the others. Myspace is pretty good and I feel these are very good ways of keeping in touch with people and meeting new ones. We move so much nowadays and things are not as stable as they used to be that this is the most stable way to stay in touch.
