630am this morning everything was clear. I thought perhaps the weather channel had been wrong and there was no need for the snowfall warning, blizzard warnings. Well was I wrong. It started snowing around 730am and by 930am we had almost 3" of snow! Check out the picture for proof! It's snowing pretty hard, and we live in the "country" rural area, so our road is snow covered. The plow went by once at 8:15am. What is the weather like in your area? ARe you being hit by this storm?

haha ok i asked you before if you lived in newf still and you didn't answer me! lol so now i see ontario in your tag and only one person has answered so far, so i think its safe to say you're living in ontario.. are you anywhere near barrie ? I am about halfway between barrie and toronto and we seem to be getting about as much as you, but i think it started much earlier this morning! I think the snow is falling even more steady now then it was this morning. i have been keeping my eye on the snow outside. it has stopped a few times, but mostly continous snow.

hahaha sorry! i didn't see you ask me that before. I need to go back and check my old discussions! I was born in Labrador. Lived in Newfoundland while attending university. moved to ontario in august 2004 =) i like it here, it's okay...nice to be near toronto for the sports and concerts and all the stuff to do, but i miss newfoundland.

Hello to a fellow Canadian.. Some may not appreciate chats about the weather...but I do! I find it fascinating to have a more personal connection to members within this great community...and of course I love hearing from fellow Canadians and how they are getting through winter in their neck of the woods. Sooooo having said that the weather in Manitoba (south central region) is warmer today than it has been all week. This time last week we were shivering with minus 49 temps (with wind chill). The deep freeze lasted until today...and we were around minus 17 with minimal winds and a bright sunny day. Felt positively balmy! Anyway we live in a rural community and know how challenging it can be to drive country roads with a lot of snow...or blowing conditions. Hope you come through it...safe and warm. Give us an update if you'd care to. Best regards, Raia

well we ended up with like 3 feet of snow that storm. then we had another one monday and another yesterday! I am so sick of shovelling our driveway! haha and we can fit four cars in it so it's pretty big...ugh! actually. we only have half of it shovelled from last night's snow so i gotta go out and do some more. at least it's exercise i guess! i saw your cold temps! i like watching the weather channel so i can see the temps home in labrador...they had some really cold days too last week, almost broke the record for labrador city!
